Rubber Park India (P) Ltd is a Joint Venture Company of
Govt. of India and Govt. of Kerala,
set up with the objective of powering the progress of Rubber based
industries in India. This unique venture is promoted by the Rubber
Board and the Kerala State Industrial Infrastructure Corporation
(KINFRA) representing the Central and State Govts with
equal equity of Rs. 10 crore each.

Despite
being fully owned by the Government, it is registered as a Private
Limited Company to ensure maximum administrative efficacy.
Management of the Company vests with a Board of Directors nominated
by the Promoters. |
| Chairmanship of the Company
is switched between the Chairman, Rubber Board and Principal Secretary
Industries & Commerce, Govt. of Kerala, once in every four years.
Set up with the vision to establish the most modern, futuristically
planned world class industrial environment, exclusively to serve
rubber and rubber wood based industries; this park is the first
of its kind in the world and it carries many unique advantages making
it an ideal investment destination.
At a time when Kerala is wooing investors, this venture is going
to give an uplift to the changing investment scenario of the state
and of course it is going to be a major landmark in its industrial
development. The Park excels in planning and ideas and pars with
international standards. And no doubt, it can attract any number
of investors with its marvelous facilities.

| Location & Function |
| Sprawling over an area
of 107 acres of land, the Rubber Park is ideally located at Irapuram
near Perumbavoor in Ernakulam Dist. It is just 20 kms from Nedumbassery
(Cochin) International Airport & 35 kms from Cochin Port. Its
proximity to the State’s main commercial hub will be an added
attraction for the investors.
Of the total 42.8 Ha, 31 hectares i.e., 77 acres of land is given
on lease for 90 years with option for extension.

| Uninterrupted
Quality Power : “Soorya”-our captive 110/11kV
25 MVA Substation – is fully developed, owned and operated by
us. We are the licensee for distribution of power inside the Park.
With our state-of-the-art ring main distribution network using underground
cables, unitized substations, power connection can be given to any
unit in 8 hrs time without causing any interruption in supply to the
neighboring units. |
| Power is given on a prepaid automatic
metering system using power line communication to ensure 100% value
for your money and no deposit is required ! Topping up of prepaid
account can be done through the Extension Counter with ATM of the
Ernakulam District Cooperative Bank located in “Kautileeyam”,
the main Administration building of the Park . Prepaid cards of values
ranging from Rs. 5000 to Rs. 20 lakhs are available and topping up
can be done using your mobile phones. |

| Effluent Treatment &
Waste Management |
| “Punarjeni”
– Our Common Effluent Treatment Plant of capacity 250 m3 per
day, available inside the Park is a rare feat in any industrial estate
in the country. Incinerators are available for solid waste and Biogas
plant for biomass. Only nominal charges are taken for waste management. |

| Rain Harvesting |
Park is equipped with
a magnificent rain harvesting system –“Sarovaram”
- taking care of the rains falling on more than 60 Ha of land with
a storage capacity of 25 million litres. No individual rain harvesting
system for individual units is required.

Research Centre
Testing of all rubber / polymer products and their certification to
any international standards can be done at the Park. This center will
be manned by CUSAT (Cochin University of Science and Technology) to
ensure Industry-Institution-Interaction and fusion of academia with
the industry. This would enable the industry to get their problems
shot down through research, both fundamental and applied, besides
reverse engineering. Financial assistance from the Dept of Science
& Technology available for such projects, will be an added boon
for the Industry.
This Centre is christened as “J J Murphy Research Centre”
as a befitting tribute to Late Mr. John Joseph Murphy, the pioneer
of natural rubber cultivation in the country, who also established
the first research lab for Rubber in India by name “Mycology”
at his estate “En Thyar”, named after his mother.
Single Window Clearance
Rubber Park has been declared by the State Govt as the Single Window
Clearance Board and we are the sole agency to process all applications
and to obtain all licenses/clearances required by any unit in the
Park.
